Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Fillers have become the go-to treatment for eliminating fine lines and wrinkles. Made popular by TV personalities and celebrities alike, they are on the wish-list of anyone looking to eliminate visible signs of aging.  But before you embark on the road to younger looking skin it is important to know the difference between aesthetic treatment options and what would suit your anti-aging needs best.

Dermal Fillers or Botulinum Toxin?

Both treatments smooth fine lines and wrinkles but they are best suited for different indications and target different areas of concern.

Dermal Fillers

Injectable dermal fillers fill the wrinkle line, crease, or treatment area with one of several different substances, most commonly Hyaluronic Acid gel.  As a result wrinkles are effectively “filled” from the inside  giving you a more youthful appearance. Most Dermal Filler treatments can be completed within less than 30 minutes showing results for approximately four months to more than a year.

Dermal Fillers can also be used as “volumizers,” plumping and lifting cheeks, jawlines, and temples; filling out thin lips, and plumping sagging hands.

Botulinum Toxin

According to the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS), Botulinum Toxin Type A is a “neuromuscular toxin that blocks the action of nerves on muscles – this relaxes the muscles which would otherwise contribute to wrinkle-formation.”

Aesthetic results last between 3-6 months and with ongoing treatments wrinkles may diminish.

Botulinum Toxin is most often used on:

  • Forehead lines
  • Crow’s feet (lines around the eye),
  • Frown lines

Prolong results with OPTIPHI® Post-Tox Infinity Serum

This product will prolong the effect of your Botulinum Toxin treatment. The OPTIPHI ® Post-Tox Infinity Serum keeps the muscle receptor that your Toxin injection inhibits blocked. This in turn extends the period where muscle contractions are reduced, and ultimately prolongs your aesthetic result.

The muscle paralysis, which occurs with the use of the OPTIPHI ® Post-Tox Infinity Serum, mimics that of traditional Botulinum Toxin injections and is likewise a semi-permanent solution to wrinkle formation. The product can be used on its own or in conjunction with your aesthetic treatments, both offering fantastic results. The choice is yours.

The additional joy of the OPTIPHI® Post-Tox Infinity Serum is that extended periods of reduced wrinkle formation mean that you will slow the rate at which you visibly age.

OPTIPHI® is forging new ground in the fight against skin aging and Post-Tox Infinity Serum is your next step.
